Which Airbrush?
Posted by cawashbu on Monday, August 1, 2005 8:20 PM
Hello,

I'm geeting back into the hobby, after a 10 year hiatus (college mostly). I am looking for a double action for use with enamals, any recommendations? Several years ago I used a pache, but from what I have read, badger seams popular. Something simple, but robust would be nice to start with. Also I am hoping to use my Craftsman aircompressor that usually runs my finsihing nailer to run the airbrush. Can I do that? Anything I need to alter on the compressor?

Thanks
Carlton

Well, after doing the research here, I went with a Badger 155. Becasue I wanted a good airbrush, but didn't want to go nuts, moneywise.

You should eb able to use the craftsman. I think it needs to eb an oiless compressor though. And you'll want to get an air regulator and moisture trap.

The cheapest I've found is: http://www.bearair.com

I went with a Badger 150 and love it, except for the fact that its hard to find parts for. I live in way west Texas so anything is hard to find, but I'ld recommend depending on your availability of airbrushes, go with one that you can also get parts for readily.
