Revell AB's any good?
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 11:30 AM
Hi guys,

I'm planning to buy my first AB.
First I wanted a Badger 150, but now I'm tinking of a Revell airbrush.
The Master Class Vario looks the best choise to me.
Does anyone has info about it, and where to get it in Europe (Belgium)?

Cheers,

Jürgen

Raptor Try the link below:

http://www.goldstarstockists.com/therest/revell-airbrush.htm

It's for a UK retailer, but I figure that shouldn't be an issue.

From what I know the Revell ABs are Thayer & Chandler Vegas, so all in all a pretty solid bet. Spares for the Vega brushes can be sourced from Shesto in the UK, see link below:

http://www.shesto.co.uk/

They don't list the spares on their web site, but if you give them a call or an email they will find what you need.

Best of luck.

I have a Revell Student I picked up for 20 bucks. It seems to be a Badger 200/Vega hybrid. It's a very nice single action brush. Since I got my Omni 4000, I don't use it too much anymore, but it's a good brush.

I have used most of Revell airbrushes except the top of the range Vario and found it hard to get thin lines for mottling etc. Therefore if you are going to get a Revell I suggest you get the Vario.
