Snort. That's just cuz he didn't try Iwata first.

Have fun with your new airbrush dude!! The badger 100's are outsanding burshes. The badgers are really good brushes, and I am extremely satisfied with my own badger.

and extremely extremely extremely satisfied with my Iwata

I've had the Badger 100LG with medium tip for a few months now & it has become my " Go To " AB. Very nice tool.

Some questions to folks having a similar a/b.

The instruction mentioned wax for the needle after every removal for cleaning. Where exactly are they talking about. I'm assuming it is the very near tip of the needle where it slides thru the teflon nozzle. Is this correct?

Also, does it have to be "bee wax"? Is candle wax o.k. as in gently rubbing the side of the needle against a candle? Is Vaseline o.k. or might it react with enamel?

thanks,

I know exactly what you mean.

I picked up a 100SG with a fine head for detail work a couple of months back, and I'm constantly amazed at the results I can get with it.

Badger 100G is AWESOME !!!

Just had to drop a note to let people in the market for an airbrush to know about my the awesome experience I had with my new Badger 100G.

I've been building planes since the late 70's as a kid. I bought a Paasche H (single action siphon feed external mix) in the late 80's while in college. Without the internet back then for me to research and learn, I used it one to paint white on an airliner and had a horibble experience. The Paasche went to the back of the closet until 1 year ago when I started reading all of these website and the great help from everyone. I built about 6 kits in the last year using the Paasche, Bf109s some with mottle paints. I can only characterize my experience as spitting paint in the most controlled way I can. Being that I'm addicted to a plane with mottle paint jobs, I had to get better. After months of reading, I settled on the Badger 100 with a fine tip, gravity-feed, double-action, internal mix, i.e. with all of the traits I've read that was needed for mottling.

Right off the bat, the experience was 1000 times better than my best day with the Paasche. I think that Paasche is going back in the closet or maybe eBay. I'm working on a 1/32 Bf109g-14 but will have no fear mottling in 1/72.

Again, a big thank you to all of the advices from the experts on all of these modelling websites.
