I've had a VL for over a decade, haven't used it in years but I'm trying to really give it a go before I buy an Iwata. I found a section in the manual about tightening the packing washer screw to reduce slop. How much resistance should I feel? One brand new and one barely-used needle would just slip right through.
I played with tightening it, but it seemed like just a little movement made a big difference (Might have been a sloppy screwdriver). Now I've got it to the point where it's a fair amount tighter than before, but the needle still slides through with little resistance.
Is this a real crucial component?
