Hi chaps and chapesses,
I'm pretty new to this kitbuilding process and in particular to airbrush and compressor use.
I have just bought a 2nd hand version of this compressor..

The pressure dial keeps "bouncing" rather than settling on a chosen pressure. This leads to question 1..
Is this normal?
I assume that the brass "thumbscrew" type attachment behind the dial is the pressure adjustment screw.
Question 2 is to change the pressure do i
a- Adjust just the thumbscrew grip at the top of the brass assembly or
b- Adjust the whole projecting brass assembly that is seen behind the pressure dial?
The reason i ask is that the pressure only changes when i unscrew the whole projecting brass assembly. However this could eventually lead to it actually becoming unscrewed totally from the regulator. If i do adjust just the thumbscrew grip nothing actually happens to the pressure at all, however this would seem to be the logical way to adjust the pressure.
Now i read this back it doesn't make a whole lotta sense but i hope that someone can understand what im driving at and answer my questions.
Thanks,
Meurig.
