Keeping thinned paint
Posted by jrreynolds on Thursday, August 18, 2005 2:12 PM
Need your help again guys. I am using Model Master Enamel for spraying. I just finished painting a Tamiya Hanomag, mixed too much paint and as a result have a useable amount of thinned paint left over. Is it worth keeping and how long will it keep? Thanks for all of your help to a novice getting back into the hobby.

I've got some that's been kept in a jar for several weeks, without it going off. Not sure how long it will last but it is worth keeping a little while

I've kept it for several months with no problems.

Thanks for the info. I'll put it in my paint rack.

To keep it stable, shake the bottle or turn it over once a month. This will work for about nine months and then it will start to seperate. When that happens nothing will help to save the paint. If you can use it prior to then, you will have no problem.
