Shelf Life 0n Tamiya Acrylics

Tamiya, Gunze and PollyScale paints seem to have long shelf lives. Mine are probably a good 5-6 years old, and they all work well, though I've had to strain some of the PS paint after mixing because it sometimes forms clumps that mixing won't eliminate. AccuFlex/ModelFlex is also good paint, but I've found it sometimes separates and the pigment forms lovely little rubbery discs at the bottom of the bottle.

Just opened up some Tamyia jars which were last opened serveral years ago and not a thing wrong with them.

I have some Tamiya Acrylics that are at a minimum 15 years old! And they seem to work just fine. They aren't the most popular colors, so I'm using them as practice paints with my new AB.

I wouldn't even consider 1 year old acrylics to be a problem.

I would expect that they would be fine. The weird thing that I have noticed with Acrylics is that I seem to get a better shelf life out of them, than with enamel. Even if the paint separates, I can mix them up and they airbrush fine, whereas when that happens with enamels, it usually seems as though the pigments bond together such that they are too course to be shot though an airbrush.

hmmmmmm I guess if u mix them up properly....they should have a long everlasting shelf life......of course im only assuming this....ive had mine for 6 months......constantly opening and using them ( college semesters forces me to go w/o painting or building for months on end).
no problems.
