OK so i used swanny's recipie for making a flat coat with future... i used 5 pipettes of future with 1/2 pipette of tamiya flat base. a 10:1 ratio of future to flat. my problem is that the coat does not come out to even be remotely flat. what am I doing wrong?

10:1 isn't enough flat base. Try about 4:1 but try it on some scrap first to make sure it does what you want.
