New to airbrushing....paint/thinner ratio question
Posted by chester111472 on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 2:09 PM
Hello all,
I just got into modeling armor and have an Iwata airbrush, compressor, etc....and before I start to paint some practice models, what is the ratio of thinner to paint that I need to use. I currently have a stock pile of Tamiya acrylic paints.
Thanks!

Chad - a lot of people here use a 2:1 paint to thinner ratio, it all depends on your airbrush and how you like your paint to spray etc. If you started there and played with the ratio a little I think you will find the right mix. I tend to use a 3:2 ratio when spraying tamiya but again that is just a personal preference.
