Stripping Holts Dupli-color Automotive aerosol finish

I've been airbrushing for just on 3 years now ; So over the past 18 months I have been re-doing many of my older aircraft kits , in between building new kits . Most of my older kits were hand brushed painted using Humbrol and Model Master enamels . So I've been using Mr Muscle oven cleaner and an old tupperware box with a great deal of success . However I've run into a problem trying to strip Holts Dupli-color aerosol paint . I tried using brake fluid [2 and 3 applications] but all I end up with is a blisted finish - "most of the paint stays on" . I've had to end up sanding most of the fuselage and wings etc with wet and dry sandpaper to remove most of the remaining paint ; often loosing a lot of surface detail . My real dilemma now is I would very much like to re-do a Revell SR-71 Blackbird which has raised detail all over it , so any type of sanding is out of the question . I have bought a replacement kit to build shortly , but I wanted to convert my old one to a A-12 Blackbird . I appreciate any advice to help solve my problem . Kind regards......Helo 53
