thinning paints and cleaning airbrush
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, September 8, 2005 11:02 AM
Hi all...a noob here.

OK..I am sure this has been asked before. I have looked over the forums and realy did not find what I needed to let me ask.

What do you use to thin enamels, acrylics, and laquers. I realize that it will be different products. Is there anything I can buy in bulk from like home depot or walmart?

Next question, what is the best way to clean you airbrush and what do you use to clear it out?

Thanks,

Windex is what I shoot thru after each color and the a break down and cleaning every few weeks. Only shoot Acrylics tho.

When I break down the brush and clean it I use simple green to soak in then a soft brush to clean, soak in clean water then a quick lube job with valve stem lub from music store and put back togther and back to work.

Hope that helps some
