I was reading in another thread about bringing young modelers into the hobby, thought I'd share this.
I have been accumulating the stuff I'll need to set up my two boys (son 13 and stepson 16) with badger 200 airbrushes for Christmas, along with setting up a compressor / tank / regulator they can use. They don't know this..
Last night, I was on the computer (reading this forum, btw) when my stepson showed me the model he got this weekend when he was with his dad - a BMW Z8, I believe. He bought the red paint he wanted in a small bottle (enamel) and asked if we could airbrush it one of these days! Woohoo! I was hoping the boys would enjoy airbrushing, and it looks like at least one of them is interested.
I think I'll set up my 200, show him how the needle adjustment works and what it does, show him how to thin the paint, and how to clean - and let him paint & clean, teach him how. I'm glad to see he's interested!
Just had to share..
