Don't worry about paint thinning rations because you're always under pressure to get the assembly going and you won't have the patience to measure out exact amounts like some pharmacist.

For airbrushing your goal is to have milk consistency. If it flows like milk-it's good to go.

It's a ratio. Paint is always first, thinner second unless otherwise specified. Sooo..
3:1 would be 3 parts of paint to 1 part of thinner. Whatever those parts are - ounces, millilitres, gallons whatever. 3 ounces to one ounce - like that. Got it??Big Smile [:D]

Thinning ratios

Could anyone explain the thinning ratos a little more clearly. When you say 3:1.1:1,10:1 etc.. what amount is that exactly? Could you give some examples. I know the higher number represents more of one versus the other. But how much, amounts. Say three drops of paint versus (?) thinner. Thanks
