I use three types of tape usually... blue painters tape for large areas... i.e. masking a demarcation line on a fuselage... I use MM tape for really sharp non-complex curves.. and for canopies or anything with a lot of angles or curves I use Tamiya tape.. it is softer and conforms better to curves... it works great for canopies for the same reasons...

I'm basically with tho9900. 3M Blue painter's tape for large coverage and Tamiya yellow for making sharp lines, conforming to curves, canopies, etc. 3M Blue is fairly inexpensive, peels off nicely with no residue. Tamiya tape is a lot more expensive, but is very low tack, while at the same time quite bleed resistant. It is also extremely thin so it avoids build up at the edges. With careful us of Tamiya tape where needed and 3M Blue otherwise, its not that expensive.

Same for me. Tamiya tape for critical areas, blue painters tape for general coverage. Post-It notes and pieces of plastic bags to control overspray.

Black electrical tape also has its uses. Cut thin, it conforms to curved surfaces where other tapes may not.

Pretty much the same for me, like those above, however; for canopies I use Bare Metal Foil *(BMF) and Parafilm M. For general masking, I mostly use Tamiya tape.

Plane old masking tape 90% of the time. For clear parts I use Scotch Clear tape.
