Paint / Thinner Ratio?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, July 13, 2003 7:33 PM
I know that you guy's have probably been asked this question a 1000 times but I need the answer. I am about to use my Bader 155 Anthem for the first time and I want to ensure I have the thinner mixture correct. I am going to use the Tamiya X-8 Lemon Yellow with the Tamiya X-20A thinner and I would like to know what the proper cut is? I have never used an airbrush before so this should be pretty awesome? Please advise.

Thanks

Good question,
I think you should go exactly half and half. That should work for you. Have fun airbrushing, and keep on modeling.

T-34 offers good advice. I mix my paints ( I use enamels only) to the consistancy of milk using the TLAR (That Looks About Right) method and check the results by spraying on the back of a plastic card for sale sign or a piece of cardboard.
I've never used acrylics so I'm no help there.

Just as I thought, good advice. I will try your suggestions and let you know how it all turns out.

Once again Thanks. Big Smile [:D]
