side feed vs gravity feed AB, GP AB, AB cleaning
Posted by abuyia on Monday, October 10, 2005 6:20 AM
hey, few questions for a AB newbie, hope someone can help me out here:

1.Anyone knows the performance difference of a side feed AB compared to a fixed gravity feed AB?
I'm considering to get a gravity feed AB. Any advice is much appreciated.

2. I own a gun trigger type AB similar to Richpen's GP. it says its double action. However, up to now I haven't been able to logically think where the "double" action comes from.... I just pull back the trigger which can be preset... that's all..does anyone adjust the nozzle cap to adjust the air pressure? isn't air presssure adjustment done on the pressure regulator?

3. i own a double action side feed AB too... 0.3 mm nozzle. The AB's air pressure control is by normal "depress button" type... but the thing is the distance/ length to depress the button is so short.. (less than 1 cm) so how do i adjust the pressure? this AB looks very much like a Rich Pen. May be clone.

4. I do my spraying mostly with enamel paints thinned with nitrocellulose (NC)thinner. Both my ABs works fine with NC thinner. (teflon coating and all). and i clean it after each spraying session by pulling out the needle and dismantling the nozzle. both parts gets a dip in NC thinner. NC thinner reacts much like lacquer thinner.. I think they are the same... my question's whether I'm cleaning correctly by dismantling it each session.

a big thank you for any advice given!
