I use a similar technique but instead of a paint brush I use a fine-tip Sharpie (black ink over yellow paint). Never done the red and white handles, but if I did I'd paint it white then use a red pen! :)

The way I paint them is by basing them in the lighter color (usually yellow), then painting the striping using a very fine brush, usually 000. Touch up is pretty easy, after that. If nervous, practice on a bit of thin sprue to get used to it.

Ejection seat handle howto..

Hello fella modeller,
i need to ask this...how do u paint the ejection seat handle (i dont know the correct name of it...but it is the one the pilot grab to eject)..i've seen in FSm, and other photos in the internet that thev were very well painted. Some of it yellow-black, some red-white etc..etc... since i was an armor modeller before, this technique is new to me...so i need suggestion, or idea from u expert ...regardless of what scale they are. or perhaps someone in FSM should write an illustrated article about this painting technique.. Frankly i never ever figure how those modeller got them painted like that...amazing...Approve [^] I have a few of ejection handle that were not painted and left in my spare box waiting for me to paint them..for years now...
ok..that's my question... thanks

( i knew, i ask to much )Dead [xx(]
