Teflon Tape
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, October 29, 2005 11:04 PM
I was working on a model the other night and needed to mask a small part for painting, and didn't have any tape for masking. I did, however, have a roll of teflon tape. I was painting a vinyl figure kit, a Screamin' Freddy Krueger, and found that the teflon tape worked pretty well. It doesn't pull up any of the surrounding paint, yet it stuck to the surface fairly easily. It also conformed to small details very well and easily.

I hadn't seen this mentioned anywhere else and was just wondering if anyone else had used teflon tape for masking.

Never use your trick. In my opinion, the elastic tape can't cut easily with common cutter. By the way, I'll try sometimes.
Thank's sharing your accident idea.

I had thought of it awhile back but hadn't tried it.. I'll have to check that out... It would have saved me some trouble on the F3F I was doing if it does work!
