The definitive source for Mr. Surfacer, care of our very own Swanny:

Somebody else will have to chime in about the SnJ, you should search through the paint and airbrush forums for that.

So long folks!

Question about Mr.Surfacer
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, November 4, 2005 9:01 AM
Hey to all,
I have some questions on a couple of products I keep seeing mentioned thruout the modeling world. The first is Mr. Surfacer. From what I gather it's a primer of sorts? I've also noticed that there is more than one type (level) of it. What's the difference and what is it intended uses. The other question is about the SnJ product used for natural metal finishes, I think. Is it similar to the Alcad products, of which I am familiar with and have used? Are there any advantages of it over the Alcad stuff? Can't seem to locate any on the few mailorder websites I use either. Seems that everytime I read about it the article was written by someone from overseas. Is it available in the US? Sorry for sounding so naive, just looking for some alternatives in my modelling experiences. Thanks in advance for any responses.
