I prefer to assemble everything of a particular color and paint it as one assembly. For aircraft I assemble the entire fuselage including wings, ailerons, spoilers, empennage, wheel bay doors, etc. and paint that as an assembly. Sometimes you can't do this though, it varies from one model to the next. I don't like painting individual parts prior to assembly because I wind up ruining most of the paint trying to get rid of seams where they go together.

painting for a begginer

im only new to modelling and wonder how to go about painting my german halftruck. she i wait until the whole kit is built and then airbrush it or should i do in on the spurs. Ive read its easier to construct the whole model including tracks, wheels and things like jerry can and guns and then airbrush this and add the detail of other colours after this is done. i would be pleased if anyone could give some advice. Big Smile [:D] Thanks
