You have to always sand it depends on personal preference or what kind of primer you use too.

Hey Anthony, Thank's allot for your information. I do thank you. I will give it a good sanding and see how it comes out. I was just going to apply the paint right after the primer was good and dry. I am glad I asked first. I know you said it is not mandatory but I would like to see the difference between the two. Thank's again. Lonnie.

I just finished sanding my Avro Arow after the primer, and applied the second coat, after sanding, the scaond coat came out really smooth. I don't if it is mandatory to sand but if you do it won't hurt you IMO.

Good luck, Anthony.

SANDING AFTER PRIMING

Hello, I have a question about sanding. When you apply primer say on the hull of a ship, do you need to sand the primer after it is applied? Or can you just go ahead and apply the paint over the primer. As always to you all, thank you for all of your help. Lonnie.
