www.dixieart.com When doing price comparisons, consider that DixieArt ships for free on orders in excess of fifty dollars.

For an inexpensive single action AB, consider a Paasche H.  Good performance at a good price.  The set includes 3 tip sizes, air hose, color cup, and several siphon bottles for fifty bucks.

If you want to up the ante to double action, a Badger 100 is not ridiculously expensive.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] That is where I ordered mine from, and I had pretty good luck with them, and free shipping is always a bonus. I bought the Crescendo 175 (made by Badger) for $70 and its a double action and comes with all the stuff you need and some stuff you will just want Big Smile [:D] Good luck!

Tritto!  (ok I just made that up... it's one more than ditto)  good place to order from... and there are several single or double action brushes for $70 or below.  If you do smaller aircraft or foresee some intricate camo down the road the Badger 100 and Iwata HP-CR are about $65ish... the hose is about 11 and then you'll just need a compressor!

If noise isn't a huge issue one of the ones from Lowes with the 2 gal tank work fine, if noise is an issue and you have a Hobby Lobby or Michaels nearby watch for their 40% off any one item coupon in the newspaper and you can get either a Scorpion or Iwata airbrush compressor for about $79 (which is about what the one from Lowes will cost you)  If you need quiter than that, you're looking at above $200 so a C02 tank would suit you better..

Better late than never... I hope... Blush [:I]

I've recently been comparative shopping for an airbrush & compressor setup.

Yes, Dixie Art has the lowest prices that I could find for airbrushes... But...

AirBrush-Depot seems to have the best prices for airbrush & compressor sets if you want or need a super quite compressor.

Their ABD TC-20T compressor is quieter than a sewing machine, but a bit noiser than a refrigerator and pumps out 60 psi.

I don't have a Lowe's near me, but I checked out compressors at Home Depot and Wal Mart.
The quietest one I found was at Wal Mart, a CP going for $70.00. It's "slightly" quieter than one of those air pumps around town for filling up your car tires (like you find at gas stations or convience stores). Not something for in the family room or while listening to the stereo, and will definitely keep everyone awake.

Hope that helps a little and I'm not too late.
