Pecognitive second thoughts...
Posted by Ratbert_CP on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 11:27 AM
OK, odd title...  But I'm getting a Paasche VLS set for Christmas (I cheated and looked at my Amazon wishlist without the holiday filter), and I'm having second thoughts about having put it on my list (the Badger 360 set was ignored).

I suppose I'm looking for either confirmation that the VLS is a good, solid brush, and I should be cool and learn to use it, or should I act surprised, thank everyone profusely, and then return it for credit towards a different brush.

Ye gods, I hate self-doubt... :)

It's probably six of one, half a dozen of the other.  The Badger does have the cool feature of working as both a siphon feed and a gravity feed, so maybe that gives the Badger an edge.  Although I don't own either exact unit, I do own both Paasche and Badger airbrushes, and both brands are well built.  Regardless of which way you go, the main thing is developing the skill to use it.  Either airbrush, properly used, will deliver excellent results.
