Replacing AB...Extra one to go!!
Posted by wing_nut on Thursday, December 22, 2005 4:14 PM

I have a Badger 200 single action airbrush with book, hose, jar and color cup that I don’t use.  May never use it again since I am about to buy another AB. I want to give it to someone that does not have one already.  I don’t know a fair way to do it other than to say the first person that asks for it… gets it.  But I will say this… if you a person that has it within their means to get one but just has not yet, I would hope that you will allow this to go to someone that may not be in a position to acquire one easily… like a younger modeler. If you are one of the younger ones I will ask for an email from your folks saying it is OK for you to have one and that it is OK for you to give me your address so I can send it to you.

I know there are rules about selling stuff here but since all I want to do is give this to someone that needs it I hope this won’t get deleted.

Marc - great thing you are doing!  I don't think your post will deleted.. this is the same way I gave away my old Aztek... and am contemplating giving away my Anthem 155 the same way.. I like to see this kind of thing... Right now I can't think of too many people in that age range without airbrushes... hope you find the right one!!  not someone with the means but not the will to go out and buy one!

---edit--- which airbrush are ya buying?  just curious!  I've been getting the itch for a new one as well!

Hold that thought! I know a kid that is trying to save up money to buy one, he is having trouble using spray cans with the paint seeping under the masks and such, so I told him to try and use an airbrush and he wouldn't have that problem. I will send him this way, and you guys can work it out, mmmk?

That is a great thing you are doing to Wing_Nut! Approve [^]

Sloe1 - you just got yourself an air brush.  I will email you shortly.

Tom - I am thinking about the Badger 100 LG.  Have seen some great work done with that one.  Butthere are so many good ones that when the "which one" question is asked there is a variety to choose form.  Which one are you considerig?

Marc - the same one actually.. I am debating between the 100LG or trying the Peak C5 that has been talked about so much on here.  I just looked on www.bearair.com and it looks almost identical to the Iwata HP-C.  (for about 40% less)  I hate making decisions!  Wink [;)]

Marc,

This is a fine thing you've done. Offering to help out a young modeler is fantastic, so good on ya!

I gotta ask though, why the heck happened to the color cup? It looks bent!

So long folks!

Thnaks bgrigg.  It does look bent doesn't it.  But that's the way it came... I don't think it was with this AB though... must have lost the original.
