Dixie Art

For those who have ordered from Dixie Art, when do they typically charge your credit card?  When the order is placed or when the order ships.  I looked through their webpage and did not see anything (unless I overlooked it...which wouldn't be beyond the range of possibility).

Thanks.

Brian,
I just received a new air compressor from Dixie today. My card was charged the same day it shipped. FYI, Dixie Art is a great company. I've yet to have any sort of problem with them. Highly recommended!

Thanks, Dennis!  That's good to know.  I placed an order on Friday and my card was charged the same day, I was just worried since I did not get a shipping notification.  I'll keep an eye out for UPS, they state an average of 1 day from New Orleans to Texas.

Fingers crossed.

Take Care.

I'd say your order is on the way. They're not great about giving you shipping notifications or tracking info but that's probably why their prices are so low!

Cheers,

Dennis

I just ordered from them and the service was fine. I ordered the airbrush last Tuesday and I had it by Saturday. Not bad for no shipping, no tax and it was half the price of the art supply store locally. I would order from them again in a heartbeat.

UPS is less than stellar on hitting deliveries on time. Bet you get it tomorrow!

So long folks!

APO/FPO orders to Dixie Art be aware....
Posted by jeff on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 1:17 PM
they are still not shipping to military APOs due to damage at the post office in New Orleans.  The APOs, though, won't accept packages from other than from the US postal system.  I just found this out after a month of waiting while they held my order for ... who knows what.  Finally had them mail it to my father, who will mail it to my APO.  Looks like the wheel are turning now, hope so anyway.  Hard to beat their prices.  International orderers should probably check first, too.

I ordered a new Iwata airbrush from them 3 days before the hurricane hit.I figured I would never see it...let alone get my money back, because I was charged for it.So I guess they were shipping till it hit.Anyway... I gave it a couple of weeks under the circumstances.(I live in OKLA.) And believe it or not, after waiting the 2 weeks and then 3 days of trying to track it down (there was no phone service there at the time).....It was at my door. And I never did talk to anybody from there. So,like all of the above, these people arn't in the business of ripping others off.
