See my response over at Armorama.

Here is Colorado Miniatures response to my inquiry.

"i've heard rumors about these sets, but never seen them. nor has my supplier ever listed them as available.

i don't know what the cross reference is between those "300" series customers and their regualr paints"

Tom, I am one of Hobby Island's best customers. I had already asked the owner to look.

I usually get by Hobby Island every Saturday morning between 10:00am and 11:00am so ask for Tom if you get by.

On the second Tuesday of the Month the IPMS Club of Houston meets. See http://www.ipms-houston.org/  for the location.

On the last Thursday of the Month the Armor Club meets at 7:00pm at the Hobby Island Shop.

Come on by if you can.

Hey neighbor!  (I'm also from Houston and also a Tom)

www.coloradominiatures.com has the Panzer packs you are talking about.  I just ordered the starter set from them.  They also have a 16 bottle set with many more colors.  Check it out and you can get a list of which colors you would need, and if you live close to Richmond Ave you can go to Hobby Island and pick them up in person.  I don't live too close so I went ahead and ordered them this time.  I tend to make major shopping trips every once in awhile where I get the colors I will need for the next few kits.  This way eventually I'll have everything I need.

You can go to the main www.finescale.com and click on "resources" at the top, then click "find a hobby shop".  Type in houston, tx and it will pull up the address with a map and hours they are open.  The address is:

9430 Richmond Ave.
Houston, TX
Ph: (713) 781-4790

Good luck!  If you live far away like I do then the colorado miniatures is a good site to order any Vallejo from.

Panzer Aces Paints from Vallejo
Posted by TMoon on Sunday, January 15, 2006 12:15 PM

Does anyone know if the acrylic paint sets from Vallejo called "Panzer Aces" are availalbe from any distrbutor or retail shop here in the USA? These paint sets have been advertised in the magazine Armor Models by Euro Modelismo for several months.

If they are not distribuited in the USA, does anyone know the corresponding Vallejo color by number. The Panzer sets are numbered 301 thru 308 in the 1st set and 309 thru 316 in the 2nd set. The regular Vallejo numbers are higher.

Thanks,

Tom Moon - Houston, Texas
