Airbrush History Site
Posted by MusicCity on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 5:44 AM
I got an email yesterday from Andy Penaluna who has a very interesting and well-done airbrush history site.  Here Is A Link To The Site

Click the image on the main page to enter the site, and there is a time line at the bottom of the page.  You can move through the site by clicking on the years or by clicking the [Next>>] link.  Most of the artwork is very well done and interesting to look at.  For the year 1885 there is a QuickTime video of the only functioning (according to him) 1885 Walkup airbrush in the world and also a link to the completed picture he is drawing with it.

An interesting site, and well worth spending a little while looking over.

Cool site.  What a hoot.  I really like the page on the 1879 airbrush with the reciprocating sewing needle in the spoon of paint.  What was fascinating to me, was seeing how little the basic concept has changed.  Some of those 100+ year old airbrushes looked like somewhat cruder versions of what we use today.
