Masking with Blue Tack
Posted by cruichin on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 12:22 PM

Hi All,

I read this month's FineScale Modeler and the excellent article on masking with Silly Putty. I needed to camo my Tamiya Fletcher hull and decided to give it a try. I did not have Silly Putty, so I used the Blue Tack stuff people use on walls. Worked like a charm, I got good crisp lines and masking took just a matter of a few minutes, compared to over an hour if I had to cut and fix masking tape. Thanks FSM for another good modeling idea!
