No, no, take a brochure or web page printout to Home Depot or Lowes with just that color swatch and the word VIRGIN showing, and act mysterious about why you want to match that color. The Homeland Security nazis will be alllllllllllll over that one in no time!

I think I need to go hide in the corner for awhile, I hear the black helicopters coming ...

I believe all of the Virgin reds are the same , so you could take a brochure from any Virgin company (for instance) and mix to match. There is much more orange tone in it than you think. Scarlett....no.
Even print out a web page from VAA and see what the red looks like.

Luckily my decals don't have alot of red to match just on the wing tips so colour doesn't have to perfect just look right if you know what I mean.

Thanks for your help.

It looks a lot like PollyScale Signal Red to me, maybe with a few drops of AeroMaster RLM 23 if you need to lighten/brighten it a bit.  That should be close to the real thing, but who knows if it's close to matching the color in your decal set.

Been trying option 2 for a week now and I think I need another option.

Why can't it just be plain ol' red.

Hey Scott, I know I won't be of much help... but I figured what the heck, maybe I could get people thinking. Smile [:)]

Option 1: Take a sample to Home Depot and have them computer match some paint. Tongue [:P]

Option 2: Drive yourself crazy trying to mix a concoction of paints until you get close to the match.

Option 3: Cut the red out of the decals so the red you use on the fuselage shows through.

Option 4: Paint over the red in the decals.

Option 5: Hope somebody knows what brand and color you need.  Wink [;)]

Ok, so I need help myself. But I told you I wouldn't be of much help to you.  Whistling [:-^]
