FYI:  Beards are a no-no with ANY face respirator.  That's in accordance OSHA GIRPS 29 CFR 1910.134 and application standard with spraying and blasting.  A required test is while wareing the mask, spray either pepermint oil, bannana oil or pepper oil arounf the mask, if you start to taist it or feel the burn, you'll know.  FAIL!

Cheers,
John.

Good respirator!

Fellas,

I picked up a good "Economy Twin Cartridge Respirator" the other day at Meijer (our all-in-one grocery, furniture, hardware, health store.  I know.  Don't ask!).  It is from a company called AOSafety, and it is NIOSH approved for paint, solvents, thinner, dusts and mists.  Item/product number 95115.

I paid $20 for this.  It is a bargain.

Review:
The mask facecup is a soft plastic, fits well.  It has a 'roll under' style of design that seals well to the face, however, I found that it doesn't work well with a beard, can't get a good seal (but that makes sense).  The two-strap system works well to hold it comfortably in place, and the straps are elastic to help with the tension.

I highly recommend this mask to you guys out there that know you should be using a respirator, but haven't been able to afford the mainstream models at $70-100.
