Clear acrylics too dark!

try adding X-22 clear.but place just a little amount of clear color that you will use. works for me

I would think adding X22 clear would be the ticket. Flat base would only flatten the color and turn it milky.

Adding clear should work fine.  Personally I usually use food coloring mixed into Future, but I've only used if for small parts such as navigation lights.  I've got several of the clear Tamiya paints but haven't had a lot of luck with them.
