B24D FS help
Posted by IBuild148 on Saturday, April 1, 2006 8:35 PM

Dear forum,

Can anyone help me determine what FS = Desert Pink? I am in the process of building a B-24D 1/48 Liberator. It suggests a Desert Pink and I checked Testors Model Masters FS colors and no such animal exsists!

HELP!

1/48

You may not find a trus "FS" color number for that one.  The FS color standard was adopted in 1956.  This Link gives a bit of history on the standard.

I'm not up on the WWII colors, but I think they used the "ANA" (Army Navy Aeronautical colors) standard back then

IIRC, I think Floquil used to make that exact color. Since they discontinued the military stuff it will be hard to find but if you have a LHS that carries the current stuff they might have some old stock left over.
