chosing my airbrush
Posted by el_jere on Wednesday, August 6, 2003 2:47 PM
Hi there!!
I need your help:
I´m giong to buy a new airbrush, my old one is dead, I buy it for 20 or 30 box airbrush and now i need a new one, I heard godd comments about the Iwata eclipse single action (is good for general pait and fine detail?) but is delicate and hard to clean.
other option is the Azteck double action (advantage or trubles?) the good thing are the exchangeable nozzles and the "low price" and is more easy to clean.
what do you think????

Jeremy

I use a Badger Crescendo 175. A dual action unit, well built, well balanced, sturdy, easy to take apart and maintain.

Hey prowler,

How do you compare your Crescendo against the Paasche VLSTPRO? I am between these 2 and I am leaning more towards the latter. The reason? It has that opening that allows you to pull back on the needle on the spot. My Badger clone (150) gave me a bit of a headache as I had to unscrew the rear part to pull the needle whenever I was painting. Are you very pleased with yours?

I have not used the Paasche unit, but I do highly recommend the Crescendo. The cover for the needle pulls off, and a round nut twists off and you can pull the needle. Hope this helps.
