Thank you all.I'll try both & see whats possible in these less than expert hands. Lone,Easthampton hasn't changed at all, with the exception of tearing down the only indoor xxx theater in the state. Not that I ever went there, mind you.     Semper fi  rudedog

I used the technique suggested by lone for some American Sherman crewmen and I thought the effect was quite convincing.  If you want a heavier beard growth, possible stipling dark paint.

i've tried mixing my lamp black, Ti white, and green, oil paints into a medium to dark grey color with a green tint, take a really really small dab of it and blend it into the flesh with a 18/0 brush plus a little turpentine, then again i $uck at figure painting.  ask this in the Figures section you might get more answers.

i think maybe a cotton swap and pastel powders woulld be sufficient in that scale,it seems that you wouldn't be able to see the actual hairs, but i could be way wrong with the superdetail skill of these geniuses on the forum

BTW,i just noticed your location,i was born in Easthampton, but raised as a true southerner here in Beaufort,SC

As a plausible reason to improve my figure skills,I would lie to know how to replicate 2-3 day old whiskers. Can anyone give me an idea ?Thanks ahead,& Semper fi ,rudedog
