After the base color, I then gloss the model. This prepares it for the comming onslaught of weathering. The first thing I do then is apply a wash. Color depends on the base color. Can't really go wrong with burnt umber and/or black. Then it's drybrushing, pastells, dirt and pastells etc etc. Then a final dullcoat to seal all the weathering in. Oh sorry, I forgot to decal right after the gloss coat. No nit picking, I'm sure some of you have done that for real!
