What pressure are you spraying at?
Is the head of the airbrush on tight?
Is the siphon tube of the cup in tight?
Is the vent hole in the top of the jar lid open?
If that small vent hole in the cap is plugged the airbrush will not siphon as it becomes vapor locked.

Sounds like you need to tear it down and clean it really good. I just had a similar problem with my Badger & I took it apart & used a Q-tip soaked in thinner & stuffed it into the cup attachment & repeated it until the Q-tip came out clean.

Your other post was on the Aztec. How many brushes you got anyways? They all acting up on you? Just curious.

Ok I got to thinking about it and the second time I tried it water did not work either, and then something ocured to me an that is when I was tring it the first time I was holding the brush so that it was slightly past vetical to the ground, this means that the system would have been temporaraly turned in to a gravity feed. So I tried replicating the error and sure enough it will work when held upside down but when place in a normal operating position it will not pick anything up from the cup, although it will bring the water as high as the conection point between the cup and the brush but no higher.

AlsoI looked at my original post and it does sound a little dumb, sorry.

 Ideas anyone.

Sounds logical that if water gets out but not paint, it is probably not enough thinned!!!!
No matter where you go ....... there you are.

Airbrush problom

I have a Paache "VL" which will spray air, and water from a siphone cup, but will not spray paint. This brush has been in storage for a while and was dissasembled, so I got a diagram from paache and reassembled it and it seemed to work with water but when I put some paint in it, the paint did not seem to come up the tube any farther than the cup atachment. In other words it almost like the pressure in the cup is to low, but I am not sure because the water would spray but properly thined paint wount.

 Anybody got an idea.
