Will I have damaged my needle?
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 7:42 AM
    Hi!
I tested my new compressor today by running some air through my airbrush. Only after playing with it for a couple of squirts did I notice that I hadn't taken the cap off the airbrush. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but will this have damaged my needle?
Thanks

No, it should be fine.

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom. " Charles Spurgeon

When in doubt, take the needle out and roll the end around on the tip of your finger, if its bent you will feel a snag, that or use a Q-tip, it will catch and pull off some of the fibers, both ways will tell you if its bent or not.

I did the same ting when I first got my Badger & thought I might've done some damage but, I didn't. I checked it the same way eizzle had described. I wouldn't worry too much about it. No harm, no foulSmile [:)]
