I second what Tom says, well worth the $9.00 - $11.00 to buy a Badger mixer.

Before I picked up the Badger paint mixer (about $9), I bought a milk frother from the supermarket, a batter powered thing that looked suspiciously like the Badger mixer with two "paddles" at the end, I just cut down the paddles and let er rip!!!

I did do the nail in the dremel before.... but the Badger mixes quickest and least messy of the three...

Sounds like a potential to get paint EVERYWHERE Big Smile [:D] but a very good idea, a cordless drill would work well for that to huh? I bet a guy could pick up a really cheap one to do that with and spend less than on one of the fancy paint mixers!

I've been surfing through some of topics and I notice alot of modelers are trying to find the best way to mix paint. I have a set up in my garage where I do all my painting. Next to my workbench I have a drill press. I bent a three inch finishing nail about one quater of an inch from the top into an L shape. I chuck the other end into the drill press. I'ts in there all the time unless I really need to drill a hole! I put the nail into the bottle and turn it on. Kinda like the old fashion mikshake mixer. Very fast and I've never cleaned it. when your done mixing turn it on and in a matter of seconds it's dry and ready for another mix. You can also use a dremel tool like this. Just wanted to add my My 2 cents [2c]
