My 2 cents on airbrush choice
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, August 13, 2003 12:50 PM
I had to post this one. I've bought a lot of airbrushes over the years starting with a badger moved to a Paschee H then on to an Aztek then Badger 100LG, Sotar 20/20 and last week an Iwata HP-CS. Until last week the one that allowed me to do nearly all I wanted was the Aztek. No more. The Iwata is unbelievable easy to use, easier to clean and performs better than any of the above brushes, hands down. I got better results on my first try, no practice than I've ever had before with years of practice with a brush. Get an Iwata. You'll never kick yourself. And only $85-90 from either dixie art or bear air. Don't even bother wasting money on a "beginner" airbrush. I'm kicking myself for all of the above. Just my 2 cents.

I love my Iwata also, wouldn't trade it for the world. I had grown to really hate that Aztek. Glad to hear about others having great success with them.

Plum,

Does this mean you want to get rid of the 20/20 for cheap? Big Smile [:D]

Actually I was waiting to try it as a dedicated detail brush for inks/watercolors. I'll post if that changes. You can have the Aztek though!
