I know I'm can't be the first person to discover this, but it's been helpful enough to me as I learn airbrushing that I figured I'd post it.
When I thinned/mixed paints, I started off just using straws to eyeball the paint and thinner, dropping them into the mixing cup. I wasn't too worried about exact accuracy. Still- it was a little bit of a hassle, always having to find a clean straw, trying to eyeball stuff, etc. And I found that different mixtures sometimes gave me different colors.
So I was in Walmart, and saw a syringe used to give baby's medicine. It was just the right size to fit into a MM bottle. And it came with a small cup, perfect for mixing in, with a spout type pouring "lip". I tried it out today, and it worked great. I was able to measure out exactly the right amoutn of paint and thinner- and it was quicker than my old straw method. When I had to mix more paint- I was able to match it exactly. And the syringe cleaned up easy.
Anyway- it worked well for me!
