I can remember as a child in England  my parents burning a type of coal called 'Anthracite'

I'm not sure if it is still used but anyway, it is a kind of very dark grey.

As for Burnt Iron, imagine the colour of iron after a hot falme has been offered to it.

Hope that helps just a little.

Albert I'm afraid I can't help you much more than Morro with this.

Anthracite is a very dark (almost black) grey and burnt iron is a golden color that metal takes on after heat is applied.

This is a pretty good look at the anthracite black...

The Burnt Iron can be bought already mixed in the MM Metallic line.  I think it is one of their buffable metallics.  It's a silver metal color with a tint of "gold" to it...  I haven't found a paint chip yet to show you what it looks like.

Testors has Anthracite Grey Mettalic(#2711),you could just darken it. They also have Burnt Iron Mettalic(Metalizer) and as said above its only in the Non-Buffing type. Check their website they should have color chips.
