Anyone own a Badger 360 airbrush?
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, July 14, 2006 1:13 PM

Sorry to be boring and add this subject again, but although I have had 53 visits to my last posting, I have had few replies and only been able to find one person who does own one of these airbrushes.

I would really appreciate any feedback from anyone who has one of these, or has knowledge of the airbrush.

Thanks to those who have replied to my other posting.  Mooro

I have a 155 Anthem. Same but w/out the swivel head. I like it for general work. In the fine detail work, it lacks a bit compared to my 100F. Not too bad tho. I like the ease of cleaning and the overall performance of it. The use of a standard needle is nice but is the problem for the fine work and limits it;s ability. A more tapered needle would be nice to get the best of both worlds. I would also like to see a needle bearing made from laquer resistant acrylic block. The soft nylon/teflon bearings deteriorate quickly after one use with laquer. Replacing them a serious pain. Badger recomends you send it back to them to fix it. The normally do this free of charge, but you have to pay the shipping to them, then wait about a month to get it back. They pay return post. They say to do this as if the needle bearing is not installed perfectly, the needle will not be centred in the tip. Forget fine work then. I can't complain, ten years with my 100f, I sent it back for the service once. Was like a new ab. Still going strong two yrs after. I've had the 155 a year and a half, no problems.

Sound advice, drew.

Hopefully the 360 will overcome any problems with fine work.

The theory being that it can be used in gravity feed mode with lower air pressures.  Which of course would not be possible with the 155.

I don’t use lacquers and so shall make sure I avoid them with my 360.

Thanks again for coming back to me.
