I just ordered a Iwata HP-CS from dixieart.com for $109.  I have a Aztek 470 and was not pleased with the overall plastic feel and difficulty of cleaning.  I haven't received the AB yet, but from the reviews I have read online, Iwata is top of the line.  Make sure you check out Paasche and Badger as well.  They make top of the line AB's as well.  Try this for some reviews of different brushes.  Just click the link and then select a brand.

Hope this helps.

Things could be worse. Suppose your errors were counted and published every day, like those of a baseball player. Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off... the right pitch will come, but when it does, be prepared to run the bases.

I haven't dealt with airbrushcity but I do have the Iwata HP-CS and it is my primary brush right now.. I love it, and it paints like none of my other airbrushes could.. (not that they were bad) ... I've bought all but one of my airbrushes from www.dixieart.com and never had a problem with them.  Fast service and better yet, any order over $45 is shipped free!!!  THAT is hard to beat!

After all the chit chat, Think about Badgers 100LG, Iwatas HP-CS eclypse,or Iwatas HP-C plus. All 3 are high quality airbrushes that would do most anything you would want to do with an airbrush. Check out Dixieart.com before you buy.  Think about buying an airhose at the same time. They charge $10 on orders less than $45. That way there would be no shipping and handeling charges.  My 2 cents [2c]   Greg.

This question is asked frequently on the different modeling forums.  There is no single airbrush that is immediately going to make you an artist as in having the ability to make fine lines.  However, having a good tool will make it easier to perfect that technique.  Being able to do fine lines is more combination of skill and practice working with different paints, thinning and pressure combinations to achieve that effect.  A good artist can get excellent results with a cheap airbrush.  So I guess the bottom line is get a good airbrush and practice, practice and more practice.
