Paasche VL needle #3 needed -- Where?
Posted by MontanaCowboy on Friday, July 21, 2006 12:00 AM

Hey guys, about a year ago on here, I lucked out and found a guy (I can't for the life of me remember who) who was VERY nice and gave me a used Paasche VL. It took a little care, but she was kickin out paint like a good ol' Paasche in no time after some cleaning. Well, I haven't used it in a while, but need it for some camouflage. So I took it out, cleaned it again, and reassembled it. Kisses [:X]

I started with testing it out on some plastic, and found it couldn't do thin lines very well, and I believe this is because it has a #5 needle but I am not sure.

Where can I get a #3 needle? And, in order for it to work, do I need to get other head assemblies like a Badger does?

Thanks!

MonatanaCowboy,

I also have a VL.  You can order all of your spare parts at http://www.paascheairbrush.com.  Just click on "click here to enter our store" button. Then click on "spare parts" on the left hand side.  The parts you need are on page 11.  And yes, you do need the separate head assemblies.  I think the parts you are looking for are VLM-3 and VLN-3.  However, if you really wanted the thinnest lines you could get with VL, I would reccomend the number 1 needle (parts VLM-1 and VLN-1). I order stuff from here all the time and have never been let down.

Hope this helps!

Yes, you'll need to buy the tip, head and needle.

Dixieart sells the multi head assembly 99VLM3 (U$ 11.15) which comes with the cone, head and air cap and the needle 99VLN3 (U$ 2.99), plus shipping of course! The Paasche numbers are the same without the 99 if you want to ask the LHS to order it in for you. I'm sure the LHS price will be MUCH higher as the Paasche direct prices are 20% higher than Dixieart!

edit if you want the #1 the part numbers are the same except for the last number... /edit

So long folks!
