Daniel,

Here is the compressor that I suggest you should start with. You can get it for a reasonqable price. It comes with a regulator, so you can adjust airpressure to the airbrush. It also comes with a very clear set of instructions for set up. It is the Paasche D500, you can get this compressor in Canada at hobby shops or have the LHS order it for you. It is relatively quiet, compact and is really all the compressor you will need.

Steve

I don't recomment those as they pulsate air, get hot fast, and do not last that long if used a lot.

Hmmm, I would only like to stress a point : you said you lived in Belgium where I suppose that mains are 220-240 VAC and you plan to get a US compressor which would be then on 110-115 VAC. I suggest you browse hardware stores around your place or ebay where you will fnd a lot of compressors from either  Great Britain or Germany. I own two ; the biggest one is an Hansa HTC 50 which I bought  from a German guy on ebay ( even with truck transport  to Toulouse, it was a bargain at 380 Euros )  and another  smaller one  from an harware store in France (a 6 liter pancake named Mecafer but name  is accessory as  it seems that a lot of compressors come from Italy  and bear the name of  who sells them ). All this to say that I tried both ways and was utterly satisfied: you can find what you want for the budget you have on either of those two options.

Thank you all for coming José

Compressors

Hi guys,

I've been modelling for about two years.I've had now a airbrush for a while but I have been using now canned air.But I'm considering getting a compressor. But I don't know anything about compressors.
The compressors that I've seen here(Belgium) are really expensive. The cheapest I saw was 150 euros and it looked pretty cheap.Well also if you don't have a lot of money that causes a problem too.Well I was considering
buying a compressor online but I can't have one sent here from the States because I have to sometimes pay fees on packages, especially on the compressor(big package!).Well my Grand-Father is coming here in late september(my sister's wedding). My grandfather lives in London,Ontario. So I could maybe have him bring it over.So I would just like some suggestions and help.

Thanks,Daniel
