Lifecolor Acrylics

I decided to give the Lifecolor range a whirl today, as they've had some favorable reviews and the dsitributor is about ten minutes from me. I used their Dunkelgelb on a Tiger, already primered with Vallejo Grey Primer. Although the colour itself looks fine, it took about six coats to get good cover over the primer. It's a bit different to use from the Vallejos (which seems to have the greatest "work range", ie the pressure and thinning you can do with it), although it dried on nice and flat. Just need some experimenting with the mix and the pressure. The instructions say to use the lowest pressure possible, which is a load of Censored [censored]. Try to spray it at <10psi and nothing happens. I used about 10-15psi, a bit less than I would with Vallejo.

Has anyone else tried these before? I'm thinking of giving the model a coat of Vallejo's Panzer Yellow first next time before the Lifecolor Dunkelgelb, just to give some warmth to it (there should be red primer underneath, after all).
