Proper thinning of Acrylic paint
Posted by Brownie on Saturday, August 19, 2006 5:20 PM
Have never used Acrylic paint before, but want to give it a try and need all the info I can get on proper thinning (ratio, what to use, etc), dryin time, cleaning of airbrush (I have the Aztec 470) or any other tid-bits anyone would care to share.  Thank you

First, Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums! Pull up a keyboard and stay a while.

Here's a link to MusicCity's website. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for all sorts of infor pertaining to acrylic paints. I use acrylics exclusively (Tamiya) and found his site to be a great help.

I've found that when spraying acrylics with the A470, it's best to use the acrylic tips (black and white).  If you're using Model Master Acryl paints, they generally don't need to be thinned (unless you're doing fine line work).
