I like my paint a little on the thicker side rather than thinned to much. I use a Badger 150 alot which is siphon feed so it all just kinda turns out that way. Thicker paint, siphon feed= a little more pressure. Double action throws a little into the formula also..................stayCool [8D]

I have one pretty much like his & I run a badger 175 (siphon feed) anywhere from 16-20psi so far I've been using enamels thinned to the consistency of 2% whole milk & haven't had a problem.

What type of brush ( siphon or gravity ) do you use? What do you plan to paint and in what medium i.e. acrylic, enamel, etc.; and lastly, what brand of brush do you have as some ( such as Paasche )require more air pressure than others.

New comressor, what pressures ?
Posted by rudedog on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 5:22 PM
Hi gang.I just replaced my old non-adjustable Testors with a new Central Pneumatics comp. The old 1 was not adjustable in any way.The new 1 has a regulator & moisture trap.I would like to know what pressure to adjust it at.Under what scenarios would I increase or decrease the air pessure.I got it on e-bay,& have no instructions which might answer these questions.Any & all help will be greatly appreciated.     rudedog
