Acrylic gloss coat over acrylic base coat... ?
Pardon the stupid questions for a moment, I haven't AB'd or built a model in probably eight years or so, my wife got me back into modeling as a wedding gift.
So I shot a base coat on my 1/24th Nissan Z32 with acrylic Tamiya paint, sanded a few times, did a couple layers till it was even. I tested some acrylic (testors) clear gloss on the inside of the body to see how it would react with the base coat before airbrushing, and the damn gloss ate away some of the base coat and mixed with it a little too.
Would a coat of Future floor polish be sufficient as a protectant between the paint and the gloss coat, or can I safely use an enamel gloss on top of the acrylic without eating all the paint off?
