What hose do i need for a Tamiya HG II airbrush?
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 10:08 PM

Yo,

I've been using an Aztek airbrush for a couple of years now, and want to try something different. I intended to buy a Tamiya HG II airbrush and got all the way to punching in my CC details at luckymodel.com before it hit me .... will the hose i got with the Aztek fit the Tamiya?

I get the feeling just from looking at the photos of it and what my hose looks like that it will not. So, the question is - what hose do i need/should i order to go alongside it?

NB. I use a cheapo compressor i bought from an auto store - the kind that make a helluva lot of noise but works well otherwise.

no, ur aztek hose will not fit a tamiya airvalve fitting. Tamiya uses the same fitting as Iwata, Richpen, and Gunze Sangyo, so use whatever hose you can find (on ebay especially) that fits those airbrushes and the other end being a 1/4 in fitting for most compressors.

Thank you for the straight answer. I kinda suspected as much, but just wanted to be sure.
